Cannabix Technologies Deploys BreathLogix Alcohol Monitoring System with Lake County Community Corrections in Indiana's Second-Most Populous County
September 10, 2026
Vancouver, British Columbia, September 10, 2026 -- Cannabix Technologies Inc. (the “Company or Cannabix”) developer of marijuana and alcohol breath testing technologies, is pleased to announce the deployment of its BreathLogix alcohol monitoring solution with the Lake County Community Corrections Program in Indiana. Lake County is Indiana's second-most populous county, serving residents in the greater Chicago metropolitan region.
The BreathLogix system will support court-ordered alcohol monitoring initiatives administered by Lake County’s community corrections program staff. The deployment is designed to assist program administrators in monitoring participant compliance with court-imposed abstinence requirements while improving operational efficiency and reducing administrative burden.
Under the program, participants are required to undergo scheduled or random alcohol testing as a condition of probation, treatment, pre-trial release, or other court-supervised programs. The deployment is being facilitated by AlcoPro, Inc., an authorized reseller.
Under the program, participants may be required to undergo scheduled or random alcohol testing as a condition of probation, diversion, treatment, pre-trial release, or other court-supervised programs. BreathLogix enables participants to provide breath samples autonomously while maintaining identity verification through integrated photo capture technology.
BreathLogix rapidly screens for alcohol using a breath sample while simultaneously capturing a photograph of the user for identity verification. The system provides precise Blood Alcohol Content (BAC / BrAC) readings and can automatically deliver real-time alerts via SMS and email to designated program administrators when positive results are detected.
The deployment further expands Cannabix's presence within the U.S. corrections, probation, treatment, and public safety markets where organizations are seeking automated alcohol testing solutions that improve compliance oversight while reducing staffing requirements.
BreathLogix supports a broad range of alcohol monitoring applications, including:
- Court-ordered alcohol monitoring
- Probation and parole programs
- Pre-trial release supervision
- Diversion and specialty court programs
- Treatment and recovery programs
- Random and scheduled alcohol testing
- Workplace and safety-sensitive screening
- Return-to-work and fitness-for-duty assessments
By enabling frequent, reliable and automated alcohol screening, BreathLogix helps courts, treatment providers and supervision agencies strengthen compliance monitoring, improve participant accountability and enhance public safety outcomes.
